Alexis is a returning student at UFV as well as a volunteer counsellor at The Thinking Playground. She has completed a double major in English and Philosophy, and has returned to school to engage in her passion, teaching. Alexis loves learning, encouraging, and nurturing her students and mentees in the hopes that they too will find a passion for learning. She believes philosophical thought is imperative to personal growth, and she focuses on creating a safe environment for these thoughts to grow. Alexis plans to become a high school English teacher, where she will create a fun and comfortable environment for people to express themselves, and learn, without fear of rejection and discouragement. Every child is capable of more than they can imagine.
