Bahar is currently an elementary school teacher with a focus on Montessori philosophy. She became passionate about Philosophy for Children during her studies at the University of British Columbia (UBC) where she did her Bachelor of Education. She actively practices Philosophy for Children with her students and had a chance to present at the International Council of Philosophical Inquiry with Children Conference in June 2015 at the UBC. She loves teaching and encouraging children to think critically and challenge their thought process.
Bahar is an outdoor enthusiast and loves working with students outside. She has worked at the UBC farm as a children’s camp counselor and has worked with children at local forests with Soaring Eagle Nature School. She enjoys gardening, bee keeping, photography and hiking in her spare time.
