Rosalind Gorrie is thrilled to be participating in Think Fun Camps this summer. Rosalind loves working with young people and has extensive experience in private child care. In 2008, Rosalind was employed by the International Democratic Education Conference (IDEC), held at University of British Columbia (UBC), to provide childcare for participants. Rosalind was also a member of the Vancouver East Cultural Centre’s (VECC) Youth Panel and participated in the organization of VECC’s IGNITE! Youth Week Festival. One of her most memorable experiences came when she began volunteering as a docent for school tours and family programs at the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Science Centre (VAMSC), which led to a position at the Marine Mammal Rescue Centre located at the port of Vancouver. Rosalind is currently enrolled at Capilano University where she is completing her undergraduate studies. Rosalind is pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BScN) in order to reach her goal of becoming a Registered Nurse (RN). Rosalind loves snowshoeing, being involved with her community garden, tending to her garden plot, eating tasty food, and reading in her spare time. She can’t wait to spend this July thinking and having lots of fun!
